San Francisco’s known First Nations sites are indicated in general locations by dots. The Yelamu Ohlone inhabited these sites, and like our villages and neighborhoods today, they all had names.  The present shoreline on the east/bay side is shown clearly farther east than it was before radical alteration and infill.  Study Question:  why might the Yelamu Ohlone have preferred sites on the east side?
